Assessing the Suns' Offensive Outlook as the New Season Approaches

October 14, 2026 - 17:37

The Phoenix Suns enter the upcoming campaign with a reworked roster and a fresh set of questions about how their offense will function. Jordan Ott now carries the task of turning a talented but reshaped group into a coherent scoring machine. Much of the focus centers on turnover issues that plagued the team in recent memory. Careless possessions and forced passes undermined momentum in critical stretches, and fixing those habits will be essential.

Backcourt rotations add another layer of uncertainty. With new faces in the mix, finding the right balance between playmaking and scoring duties will shape how smoothly the offense runs. The coaching staff must decide who initiates actions, who spaces the floor, and who closes games. Those choices will not be simple.

Maximizing a revamped roster means blending individual strengths into a system that avoids stagnation. Spacing, ball movement, and shot selection will determine whether the Suns can punish defenses or fall into predictable patterns. If Ott can reduce giveaways and settle the guard rotation, the offense could become far more dangerous. The season ahead will test whether talent alone can translate into efficiency.
