Bears HC noncommittal about their QB for Week 4

The Chicago Bears are keeping their plans at quarterback under wraps as Week 4 approaches. Head coach Matt Eberflus declined to name a starter during his latest press conference, telling reporters the team is still evaluating the position after another uneven performance under center.

"I'm not going to get into that right now," Eberflus said. "We're going to look at the tape, we're going to evaluate everything, and we'll make the best decision for the football team."

The uncertainty follows a rough outing in which the passing game struggled to find rhythm. Turnovers and missed throws put the offense in difficult spots, and the coaching staff has faced growing questions about whether a change is needed to spark production.

Backup options remain on the roster, and coaches have said competition throughout the week will factor into the final call. Players insisted the locker room remains focused regardless of who takes the snaps.

"We trust whoever is back there," one veteran said. "Our job is to block, run routes, and execute. That doesn't change."

Eberflus said he expects to inform the team of the decision before game day. For now, the Bears are content to let the question linger, keeping opponents and fans guessing about who will lead the offense on Sunday.
