Brewers and Dodgers Clash for National League Supremacy

October 12, 2026 - 03:36

The National League Championship Series gets underway Sunday night at American Family Field, where the Milwaukee Brewers will host the Los Angeles Dodgers in a matchup that pits one of baseball's most balanced rosters against a perennial heavyweight.

Milwaukee reached this stage by grinding through a tough division race and then dispatching its opponent in the opening round. The Brewers have leaned on strong starting pitching, a deep bullpen, and timely hitting to get here. Their home crowd has been a factor all season, and the team will look to use that energy early in the series.

The Dodgers arrive with star power up and down the lineup. Los Angeles has combined dominant pitching with an offense capable of changing a game in a single inning. The club has championship expectations every year, and anything short of a World Series appearance will feel like a disappointment.

The series figures to hinge on which rotation can hold up under pressure and which lineup delivers with runners in scoring position. Both managers have shown a willingness to make aggressive moves, so expect plenty of strategy and late-inning drama.

Game one is set for Sunday evening, with first pitch scheduled for just after 7 p.m. local time. The winner of this best-of-seven series will advance to the World Series and represent the National League on the sport's biggest stage.
