Defenseman Struggles Lead to Healthy Scratch for Logan Mailloux
October 18, 2025 - 02:16
In a surprising move, the Blues have decided to make defenseman Logan Mailloux a healthy scratch for their upcoming game. The young player has faced challenges in his early outings this season, which have raised concerns about his performance and overall impact on the team.
Mailloux, who was expected to play a significant role in the Blues' defensive lineup, has struggled to find his rhythm on the ice. Coaches have noted inconsistencies in his play, leading to this decision to give him a break and an opportunity to regroup.
In his place, Matthew Kessel will step into the lineup, offering a chance for the team to evaluate a different defensive strategy. Kessel's presence could provide the Blues with a fresh perspective and potentially improve their defensive dynamics as they continue to navigate the early part of the season.
This change highlights the team's commitment to maintaining a competitive edge and ensuring that all players are performing at their best.
