ORLANDO, Fla. — Before the game against the Hornets, Magic coach Jamahl Mosley emphasized that Charlotte's 10-20 record did not reflect the team's true potential. He urged his players to concentrate on the fundamentals to achieve a favorable result in their second matchup of the season. Unfortunately for the Magic, the night did not unfold as planned.
From the opening tip, it was evident that the Magic struggled to find their rhythm. The Hornets capitalized on Orlando's lack of energy and effort, executing their game plan effectively. The Magic's defense faltered, allowing Charlotte to penetrate easily and score at will. Offensively, Orlando's players seemed out of sync, missing open shots and failing to convert on key possessions.
Despite some flashes of talent, the Magic were unable to mount a significant comeback. The disappointing loss highlighted the need for improvement in both energy levels and execution as the season progresses. Coach Mosley will need to rally his team and refocus their efforts in upcoming games.
