Packers’ 3 biggest concerns entering 2026 season

The Green Bay Packers have plenty of reasons for optimism heading into 2026, but the roster is not without its trouble spots. The biggest worry starts up front, where the offensive line remains a work in progress. The health of tackle Zach Bako-Bewele is still up in the air, and that uncertainty casts a shadow over the entire unit. If he is not ready to go by training camp, the team could be forced to shuffle multiple positions, which is never a good recipe for continuity.

Beyond the line, the second concern is the pass rush. The Packers struggled at times to generate consistent pressure without blitzing, and that weakness was exposed late in the season. They need a reliable edge rusher who can win one-on-one matchups, not just a rotation of guys who get pressure in flashes. Without that, the secondary will keep getting asked to cover for too long.

The third issue is the receiving corps. While the young group showed promise, there is still no true number one target who can take over a game when the run game stalls. Drops and route miscommunications hurt in critical moments, and that has to change. The Packers have the pieces, but they need someone to step up and be the reliable option on third down. If those three areas do not improve, the season could be a long one, even with a talented roster.
